How to Remove a Person From a Photo
Removing a person from a photo works best when the selection covers the full subject and the remaining scene gives the AI enough context to rebuild the background.
1. Identify the entire person
Look closely at the image before you edit. Hair, shadows, shoes and arms can extend beyond the obvious silhouette, especially in group photos or beach scenes. Decide whether you want to remove the person’s shadow as well.
2. Use Smart Click with a target box
Open Object Remover and click the person. If people overlap, draw a tight box around the whole person first, then click inside it. A box helps distinguish the intended subject from adjacent faces and bodies, but the selected mask must still be checked.
3. Review the pink mask before erasing
Zoom in and inspect the mask around feet, fingers and hair. Use Include for missed areas and Protect for pixels belonging to another person. You can add more objects while keeping the mask you have already corrected.
4. Let the AI reconstruct the background
Confirm only when the mask covers the intended person and does not cover nearby subjects. The editor estimates replacement pixels based on what is visible around the removed area. It does not restore the actual photograph hidden behind the person.
5. Check the result at full size
Look for repeated patterns, softened horizon lines or remaining outlines. Flat sand or sky can be easier to reconstruct than intricate buildings or crowded scenes. If the result looks unnatural, try a more precise selection or a different original image.
6. Understand the free preview
EraseVaro offers watermarked object-removal previews, subject to limits. Full-quality downloads for registered users use two credits, which may come from their plan or purchased wallet balance.
